We bought a new mattress over the weekend. We went to 5 mattress stores and tried about 25 beds. We finally decided on a Tempurpedic type mattress made entirely of high-density memory foam. When it arrived it was vacuum packed and didn't look much like a king size mattress, however, as soon as the seal on the packaging was broken, it exploded into a king sized mattress!
Sadly I haven't slept in two nights. The first night was awful. I tossed and turned and my legs just wouldn't stop twitching. I thought for sure the second night would be better. However, it was equally bad. I can't figure out if it's the bed, or if it's the sleep disorder. I suppose it could be the sleep disorder perpetuated by the change of bed. The bed is definately something I'll need to get used to. It's a lot firmer than I'm used to, but not uncomfortable at all. Which is why I'm thinking it's the sleep disorder. Usually I can't sleep the first night in a strange bed, but the second night is ok. Today I had to leave work because I had nausea and a head ache. I hope I adjust to the new bed soon. We have 30 days to try it out and during the 30 days we can return the bed in exchange for another bed from the same store. The store we bought from had many diffferent models of bed so I am sure if we returned it we'd find something that works just as well.
(sigh). I feel like crap :-(
