The weekend was great. Too much to go into detail on so here's some highlights:
On Friday the girls and I did our "dance" class. If you wear high heeled shoes you get a better work out, so we all brought shoes this time. She wasn't kidding! After class I met up with Brian, Jen and Aaron for an awesome dinner at PF Chang's.
Saturday was Brian's first party at what is now "our house". It was a large turnout and we had just the right number/combination of appetizers and munchies, though we did have a couple of things left over. Barbie and Jenn kept me company while all the sports fans watched the game, though Jenn is a huge Longhorns fan. Even Brian's parents drove in from Houston for the game. We ate so much food that after everyone left we all (Brian, me, and his parents) stayed home and watched movies.
Sunday's run was great. The weather was awesome and we did a very easy 7 mile loop around town lake. Afterwards we went to Rudy's for breakfast tacos with Brian's parents before they headed back to Houston. Then we had Ethan for the whole day! it was awesome. We took Ethan to the San Anonio Zoo on Sunday afternoon. He slept all the way there in the car and was nice and refreshed to see all the animals. For the most part he didn't spend much time in his stroller and Brian and I were constantly watching to make sure he didn't stray more than a few feet from us at all times. It's very tiring to be that responsible, but we enjoyed spending time with him immensely.
When we got back we had pizza for dinner and watched Star Trek. I read 3 Dr. Seusse books to Ethan and he was so cute when he came over with a blanket for us to snuggle in while we read. Seeing Brian interact with Ethan is the cutest thing ever. I have no doubt that Brian will be an awesome dad some day :-)
